In
2007, 70 American
corporations gave $200,000 + each in support of Breast Cancer awareness, education and research. During the same period, only a fraction, 6 COMPANIES, gave this amount to fight Prostate Cancer.
For every $100 donated by
individuals to Breast Cancer only $4 is donated to Prostate Cancer.
In 2006, 30,000+ companies raised $9 million for Breast Cancer - NOTHING FOR PROSTATE CANCER - by allowing their employees to wear denim to work on just one day.
The largest grassroots effort-Race for the Cure-raised over $1Billion for Breast Cancer Awareness during the last 20 years, half of it in the last five.
Twice as many Federal Grant dollars go to Breast Cancer Research than to Prostate Cancer.
It's about time to take care of the other half!
It's about time to do for prostate cancer and men
what has been done for breast cancer and women!
ADD A DAY FOR THE GUYS AND SHOW THE WORLD THAT YOU CARE
ABOUT MEN AS MUCH AS YOU CARE ABOUT WOMEN!
If you are among the 30,000 companies that participated in the Lee National Denim Day last year this is your opportunity to show that you care about the other half of your employees, consumers and people. And if you are not, you can still do this for the guys.
Allow your employees to wear SNEAKERS to work on Friday September 19, 2008. Their $5 donation for this privilege will help us accomplish the same for men and Prostate Cancer as Lee
Denim Day has done for women and Breast Cancer.
